Take Pride Day

On April 24 our church hosted the Elko County “Take Pride In Your Community Day.” This is an annual event held in Elko, Spring Creek, and a few smaller communities in Elko County. This was the first time the event was held in South Fork. Our Church picked up trash along Lucky Nugget road. Eleven people came out to help. Ten of them were from our church.

A few people rolled down their windows and thanked us for cleaning up as they drove past. I hope that this event won us an ear in the community to share the Gospel with. Also, I hope they got the message that we really do care about South Fork.

Pictured above are all those who helped. Behind the people is the frame of the tent we use sometimes for Church services. The tent was recently damaged in a terrible wind storm.
